TIL of the Guangxi Massacre, an event during the Cultural Revolution with reports of “mass cannibalism.” Revolutionaries ate hundreds of Chinese citizens, not because of famine or economic reasons, but out of political hatred and rituals. Many of these cannibals (1966 - 1976) are still alive today.
