TIL 1 of 2 German V1 rockets in the US is located at the courthouse in Putnam County, IN. After WWII, a local resident working in arms disposal thought it a shame to dispose of the relic, and had it placed in his hometown. It is now a memorial for local veterans who lost their lives during the war.
