TIL Grand Guignol was a theatre founded in 1897 in Paris, which specialised in gory horror acts. After WW2, audiences waned and it got closed in 1962. This is because by that time, many already heard or witnessed the real horrors of war. Thus, they didn’t find interest in such theatre anymore
