TIL that Austrian artist Oskar Kokoschka was so obsessed with his former lover Alma Mahler, widow of composer Gustav, that in 1918 he commissioned a life-sized fetish doll that he wished to 'embrace'. He was dissatisfied with the doll but did several paintings of it. Eventually, he beheaded it.
