TIL Alabama voters, in 2000, repealed the law that banned interracial marriage, which the US Supreme Court had already ruled unconstitutional 33 years earlier in Loving vs. Virginia. Despite the law already being unconstitutional, 41% of Alabama voters still voted against the repeal.
