TIL of Thierville, France, unique in that there is no local war memorial. Starting from the Franco-Prussian War in 1870-71, through both World Wars, the First Indochina War (1946-54) & Algerian War (1954-62), all the soldiers from Thierville who took part in those conflicts came home alive.
