TIL in 2015 Tbillisi, Georgia was flooded. A result of flooding was the destruction of the Tbilisi Zoo, leaving half of its animal inhabitants either dead or on the loose. An escaped African penguin was found at the Red Bridge border crossing with Azerbaijan, having swam 60 km south from Tbilisi.
