TIL Universal Studios Florida was only supposed to have a Studio Tour attraction ported from its Hollywood counterpart. When Disney-MGM Studios was announced in 1985, USF was switched to a full theme park by using staged encounters from Hollywood’s Studio Tour and turning them into standalone rides.
