TIL the worst hydrogen airship disaster in history is NOT the 1937 Hindenburg disaster. In 1930, 48 of 54 passengers on a experimental British Airship were killed in a crash during a storm over France. Of the 97 passengers on the Hindenburg there were 35 fatalities, plus one ground crew death.
