TIL that after the Muhammed cartoons controversy, an Iranian newspaper launched the ‘Holocaust Cartoon Competition’ to denounce “Western hypocrisy on freedom of speech”. The Danish journalist behind Muhammed cartoons said they’ll publish the Holocaust cartoons but he was ultimately fired.
