TIL Clyde Barrow of crime-duo Bonnie & Clyde was sentenced to a 14 year prison-sentence for auto theft in 1930. Two years into his sentence he decided to chop off two of his toes in order to get out of doing hard labor. Unbeknownst to him, he would be paroled six days later.
