TIL that in 2010, Haisong Jiang ran through the security gate of Newark Airport to give a goodbye kiss to his girlfriend. His actions prompted a 6-hour-long security closure of the airport, delaying over 100 flights and 1600 passengers. Mr. Jiang’s crime was declared a misdemeanor.
