TIL that sandwiches were invented by John Montagu in the town of Sandwich, England. Montagu invented sandwiches as he was so obsessed with gambling that he usually didn’t have time to sit for a meal, so he often ordered his valet to bring him a piece of meat tucked in between two pieces of bread.
