TIL that 650 soldiers created a beautiful tribute to thank WWI War Horses and Donkeys. About eight million horses, and countless mules, and donkeys were lost in the war. The photo was taken by the officers in the Auxiliary Remount Dept. No.326 in Camp Cody, New Mexico in 1915.
