X0L9R TIL that an entire horror movie was filmed in the US Disney Parks without permission. Actors and crew disguised themselves as tourists and filmed for 2 weeks in each park. Disney chose to ignore the film, probably to avoid giving it any more attention. It premiered at Sundance.
R5JMw TIL about British Army general and MP, Eyre Coote who lost his seat and was dismissed for "Conduct unbecoming of an officer" in 1815 after being discovered to have entered a school and had paid boys to flog him. He was "acquitted" of criminal charges after donating £1000 to the school.
P1Ebw TIL about the woman who was hanging out with friends at the American Legion in a small Minnesota town. Her car slid off the icy road into a ditch. Trying to walk to a friend's house, she ended up freezing (solid!) in her friend's yard. She lived, was fine actually, and still ives in Minnesota.
