TIL of Togo Heihachiro a Japanese admiral, who helped defeat Russia in 1905. Heihachiro believed he was the reincarnation of Horatio Nelson and was so admired that upon his death, the navies of the UK, USA, France, Netherlands Italy and China all honoured him.
