TIL there was an experiment done on Caucasian 3rd graders in 1968 called the “blue-eyed/brown-eyed” exercise which segregated the children by eye color. The exercise was held the day after Martin Luther King Jr’s assassination with the purpose of teaching students the effects of being a minority.
