TIL Huygens, an ESA spacecraft, was launched from Earth on October 15, 1997 to land successfully on Saturn's moon Titan on January 14, 2005. That's 1.2 billion kilometers. Its six instruments gathered atmospheric data and continued sending it 90min after touchdown.
