TIL Frank Freashwaters, the man known to many simply as the “Shawshank fugitive” for his 56 years on the run from an infamous Ohio correctional facility was captured in May 2015. After spending most of his life as a fugitive, Freshwater was cleared for release by a parole board in 2016.
