TIL about the Odagiri effect. A media phenomenon in which a work attracts a larger than expected audience of women because it features attractive male characters or actors. It's named after Japanese actor/singer Joe Odagiri who starred in the Japanese tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Kuuga.
