TIL Nurkhon Yuldashkojayeva was one of first 23 Uzbek dancers to perform unveiled on stage in 1923. In 2 months, aged 16, she was killed by her brother in honor-killing. The statue was built in 1967 to symbolize women's freedom but destroyed after Uzbekistan's independence in 1991 as being immoral.
