TIL that buildings so big they "need their own ZIP code" are very much real, however this is not due to the actual size of the buildings themselves, rather it's the sheer volume of mail they receive. One example is the Walmart Headquarters, which has a unique ZIP code of 72716.

BrRBd TIL that tabloid The Sun isn't sold in Liverpool - a boycott going back to 30 years after they published a heinous lie about a local tragedy. Even Tesco won't carry it.
6EXNJ TIL that the irrational feeling of wanting to jump off a high building or to swerve your car into a tree has a name - L'appel du vide (call of the void)

dAOB TIL: Canadians eat more donuts per capita than any other country.
oBZmY You obviously can’t see it when you gaze up at the night sky, but Earth has a whole lot of junk floating around in orbit. There are all kinds of reasons why debris ends up orbiting Earth and many of the objects are discarded pieces of other spacecraft or long-dead satellites which have no use to anyone. Sometimes these objects crash into each other and create even more, smaller pieces of space junk which can damage active satellites and even pose a danger to astronauts.
