TIL Alfred Hitchcock owned the rights to his classic films Vertigo, Rear Window, Rope, The Trouble with Harry, and The Man Who Knew Too Much. He refused to allow them to be distributed or re-released for over two decades; they were known as the "Forbidden Five" until three years after his death.
