TIL in 2015, Auvi-Q, an inexpensive Epi-Pen competitor, issued a voluntary recall of all devices in market due to reports of incorrect dose delivery. None of the 26 reports were ever confirmed, and no deaths reported. Auvi-Q will return to market in 2017 as an affordable alternative to the Epi-Pen.
