TIL: In 2020, a study was performed by asking pedestrians to cross a street hundreds of times and found that the likelihood of a car slowing down decreases by 3% for every $1000 in car value. The study followed up a Finnish study which concluded Audi, BMW, and Mercedes drivers were unempathetic.
