TIL in 1933 'stereo records' invented by Alan Dower Blumlein. Sadly, Blumlein did not live to see the lasting impact his many innovations had. He was killed on 7 June 1942, when the Halifax bomber he was flying in crashed during a trial of the H2S radar system. He was 38.
