TIL about the Bombadier Beetle. The beetle stores two chemicals (hydroquinone and hydrogen peroxide) in its abdomen and, when threatened, mixes them and ejects them from their abdomen in a chemical spray (with a popping sound!) that can reach boiling temperatures.
