TIL on August 12, 1944, the German SS entered the Italian village of Sant'Anna di Stazzema and killed every living thing, including 110 children (the youngest being only 20 days old) and 8 pregnant women, by machine gun and hand grenade. The massacre took 3 hours. Then they set the corpses on fire.
