TIL Mr. T stopped wearing nearly all of his gold, which was one of his distinguishing features, after assisting with the cleaning following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He stated "I felt it would be insensitive and disrespectful to the people who lost everything, so I stopped wearing my gold.”
