TIL that former South Korean president Lee Myung-bak (Served 2008-2013) is currently serving a 15-year term in prison, and has been forced to pay $11.5m in fines. He was convicted on charges of bribery, embezzlement and abuses of power, namely taking a bribe to pardon the chairman of Samsung.
