TIL that you need to climb 2 hours on a 800 meters (0.5 miles) steel ladder to get to the clifftop village of Atule'er in Southern China. Recently 72 families were relocated to a town under the cliff, but 30 households intend to stay in their clifftop homes, partly due to a newfound tourist economy.
