TIL 200 years before Galileo, Bishop Bradwardine of Canterbury and other Oxford scholars developed "The Law of Falling Bodies" and discovered many pre-calculus equations ahead of their time. Bradwardine also developed theories on memory, as well as theology which inspired early protestants.
