TIL That the laboratory sets for Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" were made up of pieces from the set of the original "Frankenstein". Brooks was able to contact Ken Strickfaden who built many of the original sets and still had parts of them in his possession and agreed to lend them to the movie.
