TIL: Chris Ryan (ex-SAS) walked 300km (190mi) to escape Iraq. During his escape he suffered: radiation poisoning, muscle atrophy and lost 36lb. It’s the longest escape ever made, beating the last record holder (another sas soldier) by 100mi.
