TIL Jonathan Banks wouldn't have been in Breaking Bad if not for Bob Odenkirk having a schedule conflict and had to be on the set of How I Met Your Mother. Because Bob had to do HIMYM, the producers invented another character to pull the plot along and it was Jonathan Banks.
