TIL in 1973 two freshwater crocodiles escaped from Taronga Zoo in Australia by scaling a 2.5-meter (8 feet) mesh fence. The zoo intially reported the crocs had been stolen (which made national headlines) because they actually thought it was physically impossible for the crocs to scale the fence.
