TIL that prior to making A Beautiful Mind, Ron Howard developed a different film about a man overcoming schizophrenia. Laws of Madness was an inspirational film about Michael Laudor, a Yale Law School graduate living with schizophrenia. The film was called off when Laudor murdered his girlfriend.
