TIL about Kit Musgrave, a Royal Navy officer who survived the torpedoing of three different British cruisers within one hour on one very bad day in 1914. He survived WW I. He re-enlisted in the Royal Navy in 1939 as Britain entered WW II. He again survived and lived another 50 years.

Tyler made the journey to get help despite his own injuries: two collapsed lungs filling with blood and seven broken ribs. He managed to alert help just in time before collapsing himself.
