TIL Following the buyout of K.F.C in 1971, Colonel Sanders disliked their food so much that he developed plans to franchise “The Colonel’s Lady’s Dinner House” restaurant (which he opened with his wife in Kentucky, in 1968) as a competitor. Followed by Sanders suing the new owners for $122 million.
