TIL that the song ‘Surfin Bird’ by The Trashmen is actually a mash up of two songs by doo-wop group The Rivingtons; ‘The Bird’s the Word’ and ‘Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow’. The Rivingtons were not originally credited on ‘Surfin Bird’.
