TIL of Cynthia Ann Parker, a settler who was kidnapped by Comanche Indians when she was 10. She lived with them for 24 years, married a chieftain and had 3 children. She was then ‘rescued’ by Texas Rangers when she was 34 but never adjusted back to her old life. She died heartbroken 10 years later.
