TIL That Stephen Hillenburg creator of Spongebob, based the "French Narrator" from the show on Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who was a French scientist, naval officer, explorer and conservationist. Jacques was one of Hillenburg's idols, and his son Jean made a guest appearance on the Spongebob movie.
