TIL of Roy Benavidez. Whilst deployed in Vietnam, he responded to a distress call and jumped out of a helicopter with a medical bag, armed with only a knife. After a 6-hour fight with the enemy battalion, he had a total of 37 separate bullet, bayonet, and shrapnel wounds. He saved at least 8 men.
