TIL Harold Russell is the only actor to win two Academy Awards for the same role. Russel lost his hands during the Second World War and played Homer Parrish in The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), he was awarded Best Supporting Actor and an honorary Oscar for bringing comfort to disabled veterans.
