TIL that The Marshall Tucker Band was named for a blind piano tuner in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The band rented a warehouse space in 1973. The key was etched with the name Marshall Tucker. He was the previous tenant to the space. Tucker passed away on January 20th, 2023 at age 99.
