TIL Mexico issued a ban known as "Avandarazo" in response to the Festival de Avándaro, forbidding the recording of Rock music by national groups, the prohibition of its sales in retail stores, live rock concerts and airplay of rock songs. The ban lasted for many years, gradually lifted in the 1980s.
