TIL the piña colada's creation/origin is hotly contested and claimed by the restaurant Barrachina (in 1963) and the Caribe Hilton Hotel (in 1954), both located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. However, a cocktail book by a London Hotel included the drink. This book was published in 1930.
