TIL in 1985, while conducting Concorde's trial test flights, BA offered NATO to exercise on intercepting a fly-high supersonic bomber. all modern fighters, including F14, F15 and F16, failed to reach their target, except the 1950's EE Lightning, who intercepted the Concorde with ease.
