TIL its revealed in Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc. the reason Scooby can talk is due to being a descendant of Anunnaki. Anunnaki are spirits that inhabit bodies of animals and are responsible for China’s Monkey King and some Egyptian Gods. Their descendants are talking animals and Scooby is one of them.
