TIL in 1998, when a teacher smelled a ‘gas-like’ odor in her classroom she soon developed headache, nausea, short breath, and dizziness. Hours later, 80 kids and 19 staff were in the ER. However, no illness or poison was found in anyone; it was believed to be a mass psychogenic delusional illness.
